Scouting

DPC is the “Chartered Organization” of a Cub Scout Pack and Two (2) Scouts Troops. It all started with a Boy Scout, unit #130, back in 2012. A year later, they added a Cub Scout unit.
Today, in 2022 DPC is now Sponsoring 3 Units:
1. Pack 130 (Cub Scouts; kindergarten - 5th Grade)
2. Troop 4130 (All Girls Unit)
3. Troop 231 (All Boys Unit)

It is very thrilling to be part of this program. The last few years have been a challenging adventure, with Covid hitting the world, but the Scouts have been determined to make their family grow.

They are getting stronger with each meeting and event. With Campouts, Popcorn Sales, Camp Card Sales, & Derby Box car racing, these kids are learning to have fun, make new friends and take on new challenges.

Activities like camping, shooting guns, bows, canoeing and kayaking, hiking and learning cool things… all while gaining a credential (Eagle Scout) that will not only help them get into college but will last a lifetime as a symbol of integrity and character.

Meeting Times are as follows:
Tuesday Nights:
Pack 130 (Kindergarten to 5th Graders) @ 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Troop 4130 (All Girls Troop) @ 7:30pm – 8:30pm/9pm
Wednesday Nights:
Troop 231 (All Boys Troop) @ 7pm – 8:30pm

Activities going on right now:
Camp Card Sales till the end of April
Summer Camp week planning on going to Camp Daniel Boone in N.C.
Church Workday: March 12th @ 8am – noon.
Pinewood Derby Race
Spring Camporee in Lake Helen
Bucket Campout where the boys bring what they need that can fit in a Bucket.

Updates happen every week.

Notes: “Scouts BSA” has opened its program to Girls as well, but the ‘term’ Girl Scouts is being used for the Scout BSA “Girl Troops”.

DPC Sponsors Sponsors the Three troops listed above. Other Groups use the church for meeting space but are not sponsored by Deltona Presbyterian Church.
